Marie Vaton is a journalist at the foreign department of French press outlet L'Obs. She specializes in violence against women and children. In 2021, she published with Flammarion Enfants placés : il était une fois un naufrage, an immersion in the maze of the Aide sociale à l'Enfance, the French governmental child protection service.

With L'agency, she is currently working on several journalistic and literary projects on incest and the children of French jihadists.
